Matthew Ghebre Daniel was born and raised in the suburbs of Massachusetts to parents who emigrated from Eritrea. He first fell in love with fantasy after reading The Lost Years, the first novel in The Merlin Saga by T.A. Barron. After devouring the rest of the series, he tried his hand at writing some fiction of his own. It was terrible, probably. But, that attempt led to a lifelong passion for storytelling, a passion he didn’t take seriously until two decades later.
He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Columbia University and currently lives in Boston where he works as a Product Manager for a software company.
